CYM (Grades 9-12)

Christ the King’s high school youth ministry program strives to provide a program that gives our

youth the truths of our Catholic faith, helping them to move their “head knowledge” of faith into

their hearts, by giving them experiences:

  • to grow in community

  • to encounter Christ and grow in their relationship with Him

  • to know they are loved unconditionally

“CYM” is for high school youth in grades 9 through 12.  Students have the opportunity to

participate in various weekly scheduled activities and events throughout the year.  The program

strives to provide a comprehensive approach so that there is something for everyone. Christ-

centered friendships flourish here in a community that provides a fun, safe space to learn about

the Catholic faith and grow in relationship with Jesus.

CYM Youth Advisory Team (YAT)

High school youth who wish to serve as leaders at CYM complete an application process to

become a member of “YAT”. These youth work with the adult leaders to plan and implement

CYM activities and events. Following a summer retreat, they meet monthly with the Adult

Advisory Board. The overall mission of the Youth Advisory Team is to fulfill the potential of our

life in Christ, serving in our youth ministry program as “disciple leaders” by:

  • encouraging growth in our Catholic faith together

  • leading with a Christ-like example

  • working together as a team to plan, organize and implement activities to accomplish CYM goals

  • helping to create a warm and hospitable environment, inviting and encouraging peers to participate and remain active

412 Junior High Ministry (Grades 7-8)

Christ the King’s Junior High youth ministry program provides monthly Sunday night programs

scheduled during the school year. Nights consist of dinner, fun activities led by high school YAT

leaders, and exploration of a topic that will help youth grow in community and faith. All 7-8th

grade students in the parish and their friends are welcome! This program allows our Junior High

youth an opportunity to participate in ministry at an earlier age and to witness high school

youth leaders who live their faith!

Team Jesus

Team Jesus is the high school youth band of Christ the King parish. This music ministry serves

the church by providing music at first Sunday Masses (6pm) and special parish youth events.

Additionally, Team Jesus supports the Diocese of Little Rock by providing music at all diocesan

youth rallies, including the Weekend for Life and State Youth Convention. For additional
